What do Community Paediatricians do?

The role of the community paediatrician involves identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and support of children and young people with long term neuro-disability (such as Cerebral Palsy), genetic conditions (such as Downs Syndrome) and those with specific neuro-developmental conditions. Community paediatricians have a key role in co-ordinating the team around child and young person by working closely with multiple agencies including Health (hospital clinicians and allied health professionals), Education and Social Care.
