2023 Covid-19 Programme for At-Risk Children aged 6 Months to 4 years of Age

exp date isn't null, but text field is

For most children, COVID-19 infection is associated with no, or mild, symptoms, but for a smaller proportion of children with pre-existing health conditions, the risk of severe illness is greater.

Because of this increased risk, the the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) have advised that children who are between 6 months old (at 1st April 2023) and 4 years old receive two infant doses of Covid-19 vaccine, at least 8 weeks apart.

This vaccination programme will run during Spring and Summer 2023.

If your child is in one of the groups that are at higher risk, you will be contacted with an appointment. You do not have to do anything - please wait to be contacted.

More information about this vaccine programme, including information about the groups of children considered to be at greater risk, can be found on the NHS Inform site.
